Chiropractic Foundations
D.D. Palmer's Traveling Library

Volume three

By Dr. Simon A. Senzon

Chiropractic Foundations is a chiropractic breath of fresh air. It provides extensive selections from D.D. Palmer’s Traveling Library, the books that the founder of chiropractic kept by his side through his many travels. Palmer’s library are the seeds of the philosophy of chiropractic. This book creates an extensive context through which to understand Palmer’s philosophy. Through the application of Integral Theory as well as an examination of the history of philosophy, an entirely new perspective on chiropractic unfolds. Based on this new approach to interpreting Palmer and his writings, philosophy in chiropractic can be used today to encompass Science, Art, and Morals. By focusing on the time period that Palmer emerged from as well as this integrative approach, the book suggests that chiropractic was on the leading edge of a cultural transformation as important as the transformations of previous eras. In this light chiropractic can be understood as a profession that bridges the gap between body, mind, and spirit.
